Expense List, Version 2.7 offers a practical approach to personal expense management, with its free version allowing the storage of up to 50 expense items. An optional in-app purchase extends this capacity to over 500 entries, providing increased flexibility for users with more comprehensive tracking needs.

The application facilitates detailed expense tracking by categorizing and listing expenses, as well as enabling the sharing of data via email with other devices or computers.

Expenses are documented with key details including amount, date, notes, and category:

• Amount: Entered in $, €, £, or ¥, with automatic conversion capabilities based on user-defined exchange rates, allowing for versatile currency management.
• Date: Automatically timestamped at entry, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
• Notes: Optional descriptions can be added for clarification or additional context.
• Category: Each expense is assigned to a specific category for organized tracking.

The category management system includes the following features:

• Predefined categories that can be modified by deletion or customization—and new categories can be added as needed.
• The ability to rearrange the order of categories for convenience.
• Hierarchical structuring of categories, allowing any category to act as a parent or subcategory, with support for nested subcategories.

Expense lists can be generated and customized with the following functionalities:

• Display expenses filtered by specific categories or encompassing all categories, with totals converted into desired currencies ($, €, £, ¥).
• Filter expense items by date range, maintaining a running total over the selected period.
• List can be emailed directly from the app for easy sharing or backup.
• A formatted listing of the entire database of expense items can be exported and sent via email to another computer. This data can then be imported into spreadsheet software such as Excel for further processing or analysis.
